Schenck Process Acquires Screenex Pty. Ltd.

Nearly 100 years of expertise in the design and manufacture of screening equipment was added recently to the Schenck Process Group with the acquisition of Screenex Pty Ltd. Providing both pre and after market sales, the acquisition further strengthens the capabilities of Schenck Process Mining, North America (SPMNA).

Founded in 1983, Screenex is a leading manufacturer and supplier of screening products and solutions used in vibratory screening equipment. The Australia-based company achieved its leading position through the focused application of technology, innovation and design based on many years of servicing the mining and heavy industries. Screenex Screening systems are all based on the Screenex modular design. Individual screen panel systems are custom designed to give the optimum performance for each particular application. Screenex sales engineers have over 100 years of combined experience in fixed plant mining and are supported by a world-wide manufacturing base.

Dr. Jochen Weyrauch, President and CEO at Schenck Process, commented: "We warmly welcome Screenex into the Schenck Process Group. The combined product offering now enables customers to purchase both their capital equipment vibratory screening machines and wear parts from one source. Operating in often the harshest of environments in the mining and heavy industries, Schenck Process and Screenex share the same business philosophy of optimizing customers' processes and to ensure them in the long term through excellent after sales service."

"Screenex is excited about joining Schenck Process, and is enthusiastic about the opportunities it brings. Screenex has led the Australian market based on its product development and customer service, and Schenck Process offers the opportunity to expand in conjunction with a world market leader," comments Jeff Zubovich, Managing Director of Screenex.

The acquisition will broaden SPMNA’s range of screening products to better accommodate customer needs. Screenex top quality polyurethane and rubber screening media are specially designed for maximum durability and easy replacement and maintenance. The unique modular system allows for easy replacement of damaged sections rather than replacing an entire screen. This revolutionary design cuts down time and maintenance costs and increases screen efficiency.
