Schenck Process Mining, North America has completed the sale of (1) SLD 3061, 10’ x 20’ double deck, multi-slope (banana) screen to a new client, Cliffs Natural Resources, formerly known as Cleveland Cliffs, Inc. The term banana screen refers to the angles of the deck surfaces and the attitude that is presented to the ore material being fed onto the screen. It is inclined at the feed end and gradually changes angle presentation throughout the deck surface total length on the machine. This advanced design will provide Cliffs Natural Resources with increased efficiency in screening and increased throughput per screen surface, in contrast to conventional methods of flat surface screens placed in inclined positions.
